About Joe Cocking

Joseph Cocking History

Joseph “Joe” Cocking was a devoted husband, father, coach, and lifelong hockey enthusiast who believed deeply in the power of community, mentorship, and showing up for others.

Joe was happily married to his wife, Nancy, for 37 years. Together, they built a life centered on family, laughter, and shared experiences. He was the proud father of three children, two of whom have played or continue to play hockey, carrying forward his love for the game and the values it instilled.

While hockey was a defining part of Joe’s life, it was far from the only thing that brought him joy. He loved riding his motorcycle, traveling, and spending meaningful time with family and friends. Whether on the ice, on the road, or gathered with loved ones, Joe was known for his energy, generosity, and ability to make people feel welcome.

Joe’s legacy lives on through the countless players he coached, the relationships he built, and the values he passed down — both within his family and throughout the hockey community.
